Our research & development (R&D) teams and engineers have played an integral role in developing and building on the core capabilities that have enabled our company to break into and thrive in the robotics industry, specifically in general and precision robotics.

Founded in 1987, PBA Group has evolved from its early beginnings as a bearing distributor to a regional player in robotics solutions.

PBA is diversified into: 80% Robotics and Automation, 20% Parts Trading & Maintenance Repair & Overhaul services (MRO) which include the sale of motors, motion control, precision robotic parts, aerospace parts, and repair and maintenance for spindles and aircraft seats.

PBA (S) Pte Ltd was once again presented the ASEAN Business Awards (ABA), under the SME Excellence Category. PBA won its first ABA Award in 2011, acknowledging PBA’s outstanding performance and presence as a robotics and automation enabler in the region.

PBA (S) Pte Ltd was awarded the Promising SME 500 in 2013. Initiated by the SMBA (Small Medium Business Association), the Promising SME 500 is awarded to small and medium enterprises whose business practices provide employment, drive innovation and create a competitive edge for the Singapore economy. Nominees for the award are judged based on several criteria such as leadership, innovation, operational and financial performance, business and environmental sustainability, and value creation.

PBA won its first E50 Award in 2007, proving that with over two decades of experience, wholly owned offices and distributors in 15 countries, PBA continues its unwavering commitment to provide excellent products and services to our customers.

PBA (S) Pte Ltd was selected as one of the top 5 finalists under the Innovation (SME) Category in the ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2011 held in Bali, Indonesia alongside the ASEAN Summit. Organised by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC), The ABA aims to profile ASEAN enterprises which have contributed to the ASEAN economy as well as to profile promising ASEAN SMEs which could become global players.

In 2010, then PBA Group President and CEO Mr. Tony Yap was selected as one of the winners in that year's prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year Award which is co-organised by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and Rotary Club of Singapore. With its 22-year legacy, The Rotary ASME Award is the oldest Award in Singapore that honours local entrepreneurs who have established and sustained a successful and profitable business.

The Enterprise 50 (E50) Award, first established in 1995, recognises the contributions that local, privately-held companies have made in economic development at home and abroad. A valuable endorsement and a mark of recognition, it is jointly organised by The Business Times in collaboration with KPMG in Singapore and supported by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, International Enterprise Singapore, and SPRING Singapore.
